You're not expected to know this. These questions help you compare and avoid surprises.
“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
This means they bill the insurance company directly. You don't pay thousands upfront and wait to be reimbursed.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
The FTC Funeral Rule protects you. Every funeral home must provide an itemized General Price List if you ask — in person or over the phone. You are never required to buy a package and can choose services individually. You also have the right to use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“I would give 0 stars if that was an option. This place was supposed to help with the passing of our beautiful 16 yr old girl we had to put down. They were set up and this was all coordinated with the vet we used years ago. The day we had to put her down the next morning Pet Reflections says they can’t take her. Their excuse was they had drama with the owner. Who runs a business this way and talks to customers like it’s not your problem when you are providing a service that was paid for. This is ludicrous and I would not recommend this place for any pet services at the end. As a business owner customer service and quality service are paramount. People do better the world needs it.”

“We had to put my dog to sleep on Friday 01/16. We worked with the same vet we did 4 years ago when my boy passed. I used the same vet ONLY because he had worked with pet reflections before. I wanted my boys paw print to match my girl that just passed. I get a call from the vet and they let me know that Pet Reflections WILL NOT take my girls body. Apparently there was some drama with the vet and previous owner that was taken care of, but since the sister now took over, she did not want to do business with him. I called Pet Reflections 3 times to let them know about the body being dropped off etc. So now not only am I dealing with the grief of putting my dog to sleep, but the place I was set on(Pet Reflections) to take and handle my baby girl DENIES her body when the vet went to drop off??? The vet had no choice but to take her body elsewhere. Something I planned a month in advance, to arrange to have the exact same ceramic paw prints to match, and then this happens??? Shame on you Pet Reflections for giving me the worst experience ever. This is bringing up so many more emotions again. And now I have to settle for something I didn’t even want. I will never recommend or do business with you again.”

“I just lost my best friend of over a decade. My baby girl, Karma was the sweetest dog and although she was almost 11 years old, she still acted like a playful puppy. I was completely lost when she passed. I feel so blessed and grateful to have been referred to Pet Reflections by a good friend of mine, Sadie. They were so kind and respectful. They took amazing care of my baby girl and gave us a beautiful memory care package. I am in love with my girls precious paw prints and her beautiful cedar wood box. Thank you all so much for helping me through losing the love of my life.”
