You're not expected to know this. These questions help you compare and avoid surprises.
“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
This means they bill the insurance company directly. You don't pay thousands upfront and wait to be reimbursed.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
“Do you offer payment plans?”
Many funeral homes allow you to spread the cost over time. Ask about down payments, terms, and financing options.
Know Your Rights
The FTC Funeral Rule protects you. Every funeral home must provide an itemized General Price List if you ask — in person or over the phone. You are never required to buy a package and can choose services individually. You also have the right to use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“I took time before writing this review to think about how to respond. This is a mother and son run business. If you want to give feedback you best do it here. My feedback was given to Peggy/mom. She was wanting feedback but apparently mine wasn’t up to her standards. #1 My dad’s urn when I opened the box had ashes on it. Glad I opened it and not my mom. #2 while there Ryan was very nice but continued to have convo with my moms twin and my mom had to tap on the table 3 times and asked to get back to planning. Due to this he didn’t pay attention enough to hear us say we wanted the package we did. I ended up going there 4 different times to get what was asked for in the beginning. #3 make sure you proofread EVERYTHING. It was my understanding once you have all information to put it in pamphlets. They have the dates of birth and death so if one thing you’d think you don’t have to worry about is that. WRONG!! my dads death which is right in front of you and one of the main things to worry about in a celebration pamphlet. He passed Sept. 22 and in pamphlet it stated Nov. 22 and his celebration was on Nov. 11. Back to FEEDBACK…give it here. while giving feedback back I entrusted a small bit that happened to my sons father and I in the planning of cremating my son. When I returned PEGGY was ABSOLUTELY rude, loud full of excuses and she quick to twist things her way, she blamed the package deal on too many people involved when Ryan was more into talking to not my MOM. I even brought up the fact she was unbelievably loud like she’s never been..mind you in front of their new staff member this all took place! She claimed she’s always loud and I pointed out this is the first. She Even went as far as being EXTREMELY UNACCEPTABLE and EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL in her comment as to going so far to say to me about my son (nothing to do with this) to say “As from what I understand you weren’t happy with your sons funeral”!! I looked at her and told her I never said that and at this point I’m done talking to you. You can have Ryan call me. It had been less than 3 weeks and her comment before I left was did you get the insurance money yet. WOW…PRIORITIES LADY PRIORITIES!! THAT is when I found out Mom and son run. Now Ryan’s making excuses for his mother!!”
