Mount Olive Memorial Gardens

“I have visited Mount Olive at least once every 2 months since 1997, placing flowers on the graves of relatives. While there were minor issues from time to time, most were resolved promptly. The grounds used to be neglected in my opinion; however, being a business owner, I understand the issues with hiring, retaining employees, integrity of staff, and pay scales. The latest owner is compassionate, helpful, and a man of his word. I met him while complaining about a situation with a family member's grave, and he assured me it would be handled and proceeded to talk about the overall cemetery improvements. That was about 6 months ago, and each time I've visited, there is evidence he is a man with a plan in action. The grounds are phenomenal, and the improvements are worth noting. Most times, people complain when conditions and service are awful, so I felt compelled to leave a review regarding the upkeep and progress being made to beautify the grounds and elevate the serenity for the families. Keep progressing!”

“I’m writing this review in hopes of Mount Olive actually viewing this and deciding to actually do better in the grounds not visible to the eye driving by or even driving through the cemetery. My mother’s remains have been out there for 21 years now and I visit throughout the year a couple of times. While visiting I clean my mother’s headstone of dirt, leaves, and sticks. In the last few years they’re beginning to push further back in the wooded areas in which my mother’s headstone is getting ran over and actually have tire mark damage to her headstone. Last year I had to actually get them to come find and dig the headstone, that was buried, out of dirt that was left from the new plots being dug. There are so many other concerns I’d like to address but I’m sure as the issues I’m addressing here will go unaddressed. By some chance Mt. Olive do see and read these reviews, please do better by the grounds for families that are trusting you not just with their money but more importantly their love ones.😔”

“I went to visit my mother’s grave on 11/10 and was unable to locate the grave. I live out of time and don’t get there often. I called and voice message said close at 3p I was there at 2:30!and nobody was there. The place where my mother was buried was horrible. The flower vases were laying on the ground. Graves were covered with dirt and grass. I do believe my mother’s grave was completely covered and vase off. There were several graves in that condition where my mother grave is located. I visited one time before and found the vase off but were able to see the grave. My brother is buried not to far away and it had grave snd dirt on it. One time before it was completely covered in dirt from a previous service that was held days before. My advise is to look at the condition of the graves before making the decision to bury your love one their. Note: 11/13 I called this morning. The grave was covered up from a previous burial. I was told a board was placed over graves in that area to protect the head stone. The only suggestion I have is to clean those graves off the next day”
