“From the moment we called to let Johnson’s know my mother had passed the excellent care began. Mom passed at night but, Steve Schindler reached right out to me to tell me how the entire experience would proceed. Mom was living with me in Baton Rouge and he arranged, wishing an hour, transportation to Johnson’s in Lake Charles. We then set up a meeting and Rachael Broussard Rogers was the one who went over everything that Steve had prepared for us. And, she helped even more with the obituary and the incidentals. Although she would not be with us the day of mom’s funeral she told us who would be helping, making it easier for us. The day of the funeral Matt was right up front to great the family and explain everything that was to happen. Everything was just so well planned that I was very comfortable and at ease, all day. Close to the end of visitation and the rosary Steve came in to help, more comfort for the family and a young man (I wish I would have gotten his name) was also there to comfort and help the family friends and pall bearers. All the way through, I felt they just cared with all their hearts, from first phone call, to everyone who helped, all the way to the ceremony at the graveyard. My family has used Johnson Funeral home for years and this is just one more testimony why we do. When my dad passed away 20+ years ago we were treated with the same and compassion, so I can honestly say, Zeb Johnson has always cared and it is obvious he surrounds his funeral home with loving and caring people, from reception , to directors, to everyone there.
