“Our family cannot say enough about the care and compassion we received from Stanetzky’s Memorial Chapels in Canton during one of the most difficult times in our lives. From the very first planning meeting through the actual pickup of my father from his long-term care facility in Norwood — in the dead of winter in the middle of the night — every detail was handled with tremendous professionalism, sensitivity, and collaboration. We felt supported every step of the way. Sharees, our funeral director, was truly exceptional. Not only did she guide us through the arrangements with patience and grace, but she personally prepared my father for the service. After a long and difficult illness at 88 years old, it was hard for us to imagine what he might look like for the service. Sharees restored him in a way that brought us enormous comfort. He looked peaceful and years younger — as if he were simply sleeping comfortably, with the faintest smile on his face. She restored dignity to him in a way that we will never forget. I also want to recognize Christine, who works tirelessly behind the scenes at Stanetskys. She assisted me with the publicaiton of the eulogy and provided us with thank you cards and envelopes to send to the attendees. Most importantly, within minutes, she was able to locate my father’s military records — records we had been told for years by the VA were lost in a fire. Because of her determination and resourcefulness, we were able to honor our father with a military service that recognized his dedication and contribution to our country. Sending him off with that dignity and pride meant more to our family than words can express. The entire staff was professional and kind. The facilities are lovely and welcoming. They coordinated seamlessly with the Rabbi who performed the service and thoughtfully allowed our family some time to meet with guests before departing for the cemetery. From beginning to end, Stanetskys provided a truly wonderful experience during an incredibly dark time for our family. We are deeply grateful for the care, respect, and humanity shown to us and to our father.”
