“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
This means they bill the insurance company directly. You don't pay thousands upfront and wait to be reimbursed.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
The FTC Funeral Rule protects you. Every funeral home must provide an itemized General Price List if you ask — in person or over the phone. You are never required to buy a package and can choose services individually. You also have the right to use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“I’ve always found Lowe’s to be the store for the people. Let me explain. On my recent visit, I was greeted warmly, the store was cleaned and organized. I was asked if I needed any help finding anything. It doesn’t have the selection of other large stores, but I always feel like this home improvement store is overall less hectic. I like the app that tells you where exactly to go to find an item. If I need a less stressful experience, I’m willing to to drive a little further to get to this location. I can now use their app to see if they have what I need in the store and go directly to what I am looking for.”

“Me and my company have been doing business at this Lowes for the past few years with generally a good experience. However, lately the service has gone downhill. We recently performed a deck project and had some leftover, unused materials to return. They refused the return because it was 7 days after their "30-day" return policy. So much for having a 365-Day return policy when purchased with the Lowes business credit card! Also there are no exceptions for ordered deck materials on their return policies posted online. They were aware that I have spent over $34,000 there THIS YEAR, and $100,000 at Lowes over the past 3 years, but are willing to lose my business to Home Depot over a few hundred bucks in returns. I reached out to the Store Manager and District Manager last week, and nobody has contacted me back. If you are a contractor or intend on placing a large order, you are better off shopping elsewhere for better service and appreciation. UPDATE- the Store Manager recently called me and offered to make it right. She gave me credit for what I returned and apologized for my experience. My company will resume shopping at Lowes for convenience, but the large orders will likely go to Home Depot or other local distributors.”

“I find this location convenient with plenty of parking and easy access (entry/exit). Not always the cheapest for the basics but do have periodic deals and carry better brands and a good selection. There's usually an informed staff member around to answer questions or direct you to what you need and tge garden/outdoor entrance makes it easy to load supplies if needed *they do have a variety of cart types as well). I shop a few different hardware/home improvement stores but this is probably my go-to one.”
