Questions to Ask When You Call
You're not expected to know this. These questions help you compare and avoid surprises.
“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

What Families Say
“I appreciate everything Steve and Ryan did for me and my son. This was a horrible time in my life losing my son, Steve was amazing. Calming, sympathetic, helpful and respectful. I would highly recommend these folks in your time of need if it arises. Thank you all again.🤍🕊️🙏”

“I cannot begin to express my gratitude to this location. Steve helped me so much during such a difficult time. He made everything so easy for me. My sister was murdered in Albuquerque and Steve really made a tragic situation seem not so daunting. He maintained constant communication with me during the whole process. He helped getting the services covered by the CVRC. He called me literally the next day after signing paperwork to tell me she arrived at their facility and was in their care. He answered any questions I had, even on weekends when he was out. He allowed me to change some things last minute, like adding a memorial service and adding in a slideshow to play before, during and after the service. I cannot recommend this location enough. Thank you so much to the staff for all your help! Thank you for helping me send my sister off the way she deserved! I'm forever grateful!”

“Our mother's passing was unexpected, and our family did not even begin to know where to start with the process of putting funeral arrangements in place. Aaron and the whole team were extremely kind and understanding. They were helpful in helping us to make the choices that would have been best for my mother. Due to how empathetic, kind, and supportive they were, it relieved so much stress in making preparations for her funeral. Thank you to Aaron and the whole team off of Southern in Rio Rancho to help alleviate the stress that comes along with the grief when losing a loved one. A. Romero”
