You're not expected to know this. These questions help you compare and avoid surprises.
“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
This means they bill the insurance company directly. You don't pay thousands upfront and wait to be reimbursed.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
The FTC Funeral Rule protects you. Every funeral home must provide an itemized General Price List if you ask — in person or over the phone. You are never required to buy a package and can choose services individually. You also have the right to use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“The only reason this has a star from me is the only way I can write a review. This is such a sad location to have anyone buried in. I TOTALLY REGRET BURYING MY SON HERE. I WANT TO REMOVE HIM FROM THERE. I can't see him without stepping in mud, there's always tire tracks over his grave. Every time I call I'm told they're under staffed. They have yet to place my son's picture on his stone. My daughter in law has sent them his picture three times. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!!! 😡😡”

“My mother in laws grave was covered in cemet and we go monthly not to mention we walk around and give the flowers we have left over to others l0ved ones. My 11yr old had to see a tombstone sunken inside of the ground with just a bit of dirt covering the casket. Can you imagine that being your loved one. The news needs to get on it. Trash everywhere, tombstones lying against trees that were there the week before, graves completely covered. Absolutely horrible! And don't expect the owners to do anything they won't return your phone call. I reported that sunken grave over 3 weeks ago and it's still like that.”

“They now allow cars to drive over and park on your love one’s grave and headstone. Drinking party allowed too! byob! Public restroom is now employee’s only. Paved roads full of potholes, either covered with thick dirt when dried or muddy after a rain. Digging equipment constantly breaking flat monuments and vases. Transients walking through-out cemetery.”
