“My father passed away in November of last year. His death was unexpected so we unfortunately had no end of life preparations made ahead of time. I cannot overstate how gracious every staff member at Smith Benton was during this difficult time for our family. They anticipated every need and gladly accommodated every request we had and they treated my father with the utmost respect. We couldn't have asked for anyone more kind or empathetic to be our funeral director than Haley--she listened so attentively when we spoke about our dad that when she added some personal touches to his memorial service, my brother and I both thought the other had done it! Her thoughtful gestures were so comforting; she really and truly treated us as if we were her very own family. We were incredibly lucky to have been able to work with her throughout this process. We were also so thankful for the guidance provided by Kathy with Aftercare as she took the time to answer every question we had about the process moving forward and made sure we had every available resource to help make this transition as smooth as possible. Never once did a single member of this team make us feel rushed, pressured, or anything but supported.
