You're not expected to know this. These questions help you compare and avoid surprises.
“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
This means they bill the insurance company directly. You don't pay thousands upfront and wait to be reimbursed.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
The FTC Funeral Rule protects you. Every funeral home must provide an itemized General Price List if you ask — in person or over the phone. You are never required to buy a package and can choose services individually. You also have the right to use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“I just wanted to thank the Palm Beach National chapel for their care and professionalism with the handling of my grandfather's funeral and service. They showed such care and consideration for their clients and I have to say it truly felt like we were family. Phillip Lund was absolutely amazing throughout the process, making sure we were well informed before making any decisions or continuing with their service. Words can't describe how thankful and pleased I am with their help. If you're looking for a place where you want to make sure your loved one is taken care of with compassion and heartfelt kindness, Palm Beach National Chapel will definitely be the best fit for you and your family.”

“Our experience with the Palm Beach National Funeral Home & Chapel was truly peaceful and serene during one of the most difficult times of our lives. From the very beginning, the staff handled everything on our behalf with care, compassion, and professionalism, which brought us great comfort. They were sympathetic, attentive, and supportive from start to finish. The service itself was beautiful, and the time they gave our family was generous and never rushed. Every single person we encountered was wonderful. My father passed away on Christmas Eve 2025, and from that day through now, they have continued to be there for us during our bereavement. That ongoing support has meant more than words can express. I would highly recommend the Palm Beach National Funeral Home & Chapel to anyone seeking recommendations. Thank you for doing such an exceptional job and for treating our family with such kindness and respect.”

“When we lost my wife's father in August of 24, we chose Palm Beach National Funeral Home and Chapel to take care of our needs. Director Shaige Brissett was most caring and accommodating for our circumstances, which were unusually challenging because my father-in-law's military discharge paperwork had been lost in a fire at the National Military Archives. The paperwork was finally obtained, thanks to the diligence and patience from the National Funeral Home staff. Throughout the process, Shaige Brissett was caring, compassionate, patient, and understanding. He explained everything in kind, simple terms that we could understand, at a time in our lives where grief & confusion were often clouding our ability to grasp everything that needed to be taken care of. Director Brissett also presided over my father-in-law’s memorial ceremony with grace, kind words, and quiet respect… all of which were greatly appreciated. When my wife’s mother passed unexpectedly on January 26, we once again chose the Palm Beach National Funeral Home and Chapel to take care of our needs, and specifically requested that Director Shaige Brissett handle our funeral arrangements. Shaige took care of our arrangements with the same level of care, kindness, and professionalism as he did for my wife’s father’s funeral arrangements. At the beginning of my mother-in-law’s memorial service, Shaige offered up a comforting, lovely original poem, and concluded with a beautiful, heartfelt prayer. Director Shaige Brissett’s kindness, gentle guidance, and professionalism are now part of the loving memories we have whenever we reflect upon our beloved family members who have passed. It is our pleasure to highly recommend Palm Beach National Funeral Home and Chapel to anyone seeking the very best of care in handling of arrangements for the loss of a loved one. Thanks, and God Bless you, Shaige.”
