“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
This means they bill the insurance company directly. You don't pay thousands upfront and wait to be reimbursed.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
The FTC Funeral Rule protects you. Every funeral home must provide an itemized General Price List if you ask — in person or over the phone. You are never required to buy a package and can choose services individually. You also have the right to use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“Nathan is an amazing business owner who has made every effort to turn a hard time in our life into one of remembrance and support. He is so very kind and respectful when including everyone's wishes into a final good-bye. We had him cremate our family member and he also spoke at her graveside service in freezing temperatures on a Saturday afternoon. Cost is reasonable and he has a great business that he personally oversees and every little detail is taken care of. Forever grateful, family of Rita and Bill Welch.”

“My Father passed away and wanted to be cremated. Our family not being from this area I started making calls. Christenson funeral was my first call as far as getting quotes and I called about 5 after. I stopped and resulted back to Christenson. Nathan was very attentive and caring he was very detailed as this being our first with cremating a family member. This was the most peaceful death that we have had in our family and it was due to Nathan just taking care of everything. I spoke about my Dad and Nathan just took it from there. Nathan did an awesome job to make sure my family and I was able to grieve with no worries. Nathan was wonderful and my family and I thank him truly. This is definitely the place to go if you really are looking for a place to take care of of your family. If I can give 10 starts I definitely would. Thank you Nathan and Christenson Funeral Home & Creamatory”

“Nathan was truly the greatest most kind person to myself and my sisters when my son suddenly died. He was on his way to the crematorium when I called and asked if I could put a letter for my son to be with him during the cremation process, he literally turned around and met with me to make sure that letter went with my son. He couldn’t have possibly been any kinder and so accommodating. Very professional and very caring. I am grateful to have had him take care of my son.”
