Know Your Rights
The FTC Funeral Rule protects you. Every funeral home must provide an itemized General Price List if you ask — in person or over the phone. You are never required to buy a package and can choose services individually. You also have the right to use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“During such a difficult time our family was at peace with the way our funeral director, Cathy Lechuga took care of us recently. She does an excellent job, graciously empathetic and attentive. It’s sad to say not all the staff at Hughes Funeral Home is this way. The older Hispanic man is very rude and has no empathy. Our family has suffered a loss and he was so uncaring in the way he spoke to us. We do not know him on a personal level for him to have spoken to us the way he did. I hope the owner(s) know how this looks for his/her business. Overall I would recommend the funeral home because of the director. You would definitely be in good hands. BUT hopefully other families will not have the same interaction with the older Hispanic man.”

“In the moments most trying for me they received me with the opened arms of embrace, and their knowledge was employed for our Family to say farewells for our Mom. Forever, I will keep their kindess in my heart”
