He was a wonderful husband, father, father-in-law, papa and friend. He looked like he was sleeping and at peace. His skin tone looked natural. His attire was placed on him perfectly. All our requests were fulfilled beyond our expectations, including the slide show with many precious memories of love, fun, laughter, and crazy experiences. Every member of your staff was so kind and comforted us. You made certain that he had everything we requested and more. We were treated like family, and we were all going through this tragedy together. When you took Bud to the Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery, we appreciate how you honored him by placing a magnetic United States Marine emblem on each side of the hearse. Take care and God bless. “I was completely lost when my mother passed. I was knee deep in shock, grief and had no idea where to begin with a funeral. I called several places and after every call I felt less and less confident that there would be anyone I would trust with.. her. The calls felt rehearsed and lacked any real sympathy and then aiming directly for the transactional aspects. We all want our lives to end with dignity and be handled with the knowledge that we are someone's family. When I called Newcomer I knew that their sympathy was genuine. Shelby, was so, so wonderful. She really took the time to walk me through every step and was patient with my indecision and grief. I would not have been able to get through that part of losing her without Shelby or all of the staff I spoke to at Newcomer. She (they) went so far above and beyond for us that I will always be grateful. In a time like that you need people who can see you through the moment with grace and that is exactly what they did.
