“DO NOT use this funeral home! My family has always used them and they’ve been great for over a decade. Not anymore! Not sure if they’re under new management or what. I was sobbing and blowing my nose in a corner grieving the loss of someone dear to me, and one the female funeral directors shouted “Everyone out! I need you to clear this room!” SO rudely, aggressively, and inconsiderately. Then at the graveside service, we were all standing around the casket mourning and saying our final goodbyes (only for about 8 minutes). She then shouted (once again), “Everyone clear the way! Get back! Step back please!” They were in SUCH A HURRY to get our loved one in the ground! We were still saying goodbye! Shame on you Chapelwood. I will never use your services and I will tell everyone to steer clear. Unless I know for myself you fire this particular individual. Which you already know because I called and told y’all! Don’t work funeral services if you lack compassion and are a terrible, rude, lack of respect person. SHAME ON YOU CHAPELWOOD. Y’all made $15k off this funeral and rushed us out the door. How about, don’t set a funeral for 2pm if y’all are trying to get off work by 4pm?”

“We've had several family members go through this building, my wife and I have had two of our own children (age 17 yo and 2 day old) pass away and used their services. The amount of perpetual care for the grounds keep is growing, they have been sooo generous in letting families display flowers and ornaments of sorts. The costs of funeral expenses are high no doubt, then you find those without markers or at other cemeteries sunken holes and in just terrible conditions. Some local cemeteries are completely forgotten. Many families have come to an end. I'm full aware of life after this death, guilty of leaving gospel tracts in hopes of at least one to give their life over to The Giver. Grieving is hard, I sympathize to those in pain in these times and I do agree we need a place, but also it is a business. Seems cold to be rushed, family after family members leave us. I don't agree the way some things are done but much of it is lack of understanding on both sides. I know too much about death it makes it harder to live, I guess the same applies but differently that work in it. Again, I don't know. My hopes and prayers are for things to get better, maybe that both have a greater understanding and change. One day, it will be myself and/or my wife. We all have to answer for the things we; say, do, and even think. Not religious, but in relation. It is appointed unto ALL to once die, and be judged. It's the second death, that should mostly concern us.”
