“My veteran dad didn't want a big deal funeral and Melancon funeral home, in Carencro, went above and beyond with his wishes. Mary was amazing at getting orders correctly to have him buried at Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery. We were afraid that we'd have to wait till Friday to have the funeral because Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery don't have ceremonies on Thursday and Friday was forecasted for severe weather. She somehow got it done for Wednesday. My mom and I are so appreciative of Mary and the staff at Melancon for making this process go so smoothly. The flag they draped his casket had embroidered stars and not cheap print. My dad would be proud. And we appreciate that they sent us "En Voyage" poem and a sympathy card the following week. Complete consideration after all is done. My mom and I will use Melancon funeral home, in Carencro, for our own future funerals. Thank you Mary and the staff of Melancon!!!!!”
