“Funerals by their very nature are not occasions that one would think are enjoyable .In the last 20 years I and my family have had 3 occasions that funeral services were needed . Each time the staff that attended us were professional to a fault. Our family had a very unique lifestyles in that we had a lifetime of raising and showing Clydesdale horses. When our daughter,Jennifer, died 20 years ago we were encouraged to have her horse and trailer in attendance out in the parking lot and her 2 dogs were welcomed inside alongside the wonderful in house therapy dogs. Three years ago we had a grandson Nathaniel, who sadly committed suicide . His services were held in the Kalamazoo facility but the staff was equally attentive and as caring as the folks in Paw Paw. The caring compassionate approach to our family and friends was unsupassed. Just a year ago in January the need for a funeral service was once again necessary. My husband Tony died suddenly and we did not even have to debate who we wanted to handle the service. Telling his story to Patrick (who was casually taking notes) was soon crafted into a comprehensive and remarkably detailed, accurate rendering of those musings for the pamphlet that we were proud to hand out to family and friends. We were especially touched by Betzler's willingness to help us honor a 100 year family legacy of draft horse life by accommodations they helped facilitate to allow Tony's casket be delivered to the cemetary in the back of a wagon pulled by 2 magnificent Clydesdales. I am confident that when the time comes for you to need a funeral home for your loved one you could not choose a better place than Betzler's Life Story funeral home. I am also meeting with Patrick soon to plan in advance my own services with the hope that when I pass my family might have an easier time finishing the rest of the story with the "family"that we have trusted with our loved ones for decades.”
