“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
This means they bill the insurance company directly. You don't pay thousands upfront and wait to be reimbursed.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
The FTC Funeral Rule protects you. Every funeral home must provide an itemized General Price List if you ask — in person or over the phone. You are never required to buy a package and can choose services individually. You also have the right to use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“When my father passed, we weren’t sure whether we were going to livestream his funeral service. But my parents having moved from the east coast to AZ, we had many people who said they wished they could be at the service. It was also over a holiday weekend when travel was very difficult and costly. So on short notice over a holiday weekend, we reached out to Daynen at Superstition Studios to see if he could livestream the service. Daynen was not only available, he was responsive and reliable … he showed up early, and everyone who attended the livestream (turned out we had over 70 people attend virtually!) said that the quality was excellent. They could see and hear everything, and it felt like they were there. Daynen and Superstition Studios made a very difficult day a little easier and it allowed us to share the service with many friends and family who wanted to be there in person but couldn’t.”

“We located this service online when we heard that the cemetery we were using did a poor job of streaming their funerals. Owner Daynen was very easy to work with, scheduling his videographer Neal at my father-in-law's funeral with just a couple of days notice. He immediately supplied us with a Zoom link that we were able to distribute to friends and family across the country and elsewhere around the world. Neal showed up 1/2 hour before the funeral, just as promised. He was very respectful and had everything set up in plenty of time. His presence was very unobtrusive. We had many dozens of people who were able to watch the livestream of the funeral. The first portion included a service and some speeches under an outdoor pavilion. As the casket was moved to the gravesite, Neal quickly relocated and captured the rest of the service. We had numerous people tell us afterwards that they had never seen such a well-done stream. The sound was captured perfectly, and zooming and panning were all done at appropriate times. There were even comments from Neal, such as telling the viewers of the upcoming pause while he relocated graveside. They also gave us access to all the video footage afterwards so we could distribute it to anyone who couldn't Zoom it live. This service was priceless. Our whole family recommends Funeral Live Streams for these precious personal moments.”

“I highly recommend Daynen Biggs and his company Superstition Studios for such an important situation as a funeral service. I was given his name from our mortuary. I didn't know who I could call with a very short notice need. Daynen answered the phone and was on it from the beginning. The whole process was quick, and easy. His price was reasonable, and the payment process was also easy. Daynen answered any of my questions professionally and promptly. Unfortunately, we didn't have very good service at the cemetery location, but Daynen made me aware of that ahead of time. He sent me the taped copy to share. He was on time, and prepared. Nothing to worry about. Thank you!”
