“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
This means they bill the insurance company directly. You don't pay thousands upfront and wait to be reimbursed.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
The FTC Funeral Rule protects you. Every funeral home must provide an itemized General Price List if you ask — in person or over the phone. You are never required to buy a package and can choose services individually. You also have the right to use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“I purchased dyed blue hydrangeas on Saturday for a baby shower on Sunday. By the next morning, the flowers had already died. While I understand flowers can be delicate, I did not expect them to die that quickly. When I returned to the shop the morning of the shower, both the owner and the store clerk were rude. No apology was offered, and instead I was blamed for the flowers dying. The way I was spoken to was dismissive and unprofessional. The flowers not lasting was disappointing, but being treated poorly as a customer was worse. I would not recommend based on the customer service.I’m”

“I paid for delivery but after the delivery failed they refused to refund the delivery fee. So I bought a $100 bouquet with chocolate for Valentine's Day and I additionally paid extra for the flowers to be delivered. Come Valentine's Day, the driver could not get in the building (despite me providing the code) so they called me but I was not available at that moment. The driver moved onto other deliveries, I called the driver back, and we decided to meet near her next delivery so I could pick up the flowers. This was all fine and good, but my flowers were not delivered as paid for. So I thought it would be a reasonable request to get only the delivery fee refunded. However, when I called Flowerama the manager told me that because the flowers were not picked up in store the delivery fee could not be refunded. A+ customer service right there, you really earned this one star Flowerama.”

“My boyfriend brought me flowers over a week ago and they still look so beautiful! I’m so glad he made the choice to shop locally rather than getting from Walmart or Publix! Thank you Flowerama! 🩷”
