Questions to Ask When You Call
You're not expected to know this. These questions help you compare and avoid surprises.
“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

What Families Say
“I just want to thank all of the Gabaldon Team for taking such care of my daughter that passed away at 17 weeks 5 days. I was so surprised when I got my daughter Soleens cremation ashes back as they provided a custom box, amazing prayer cards and her feet and hand prints. Thank you so much from a grieving mom. I will forever be grateful for Gabaldon Mortuary.”

“My family had the best experience with Gabaldon, we were treated with so much kindness and concerned since we walked in the door. Thank you so much for making this difficult time a little easier with everything you took care of. Losing two family members so close was hard but the other mortuary we dealt with for my sister was terrible I recommend Gabaldon 100 percent thank you from the Cordova Family!”
