We had my father‘s funeral at this mortuary. We were very dissatisfied. The service was not that nice and the handling and coordination of everything was unprofessional and messy. It makes me sad that my father‘s funeral did not turn out as expected.”

The day we went in to sign off on documents, select a casket, and complete everything was very difficult. We never felt rushed, prodded, or pressured. Louis took the time to explain everything in great detail. Salazar Mortuary definitely took our feelings and emotions seriously and that was very much appreciated. When my mother wanted to see my father in private the day before the services, Salazar Mortuary was very responsive and made the preparations so my mother and our family could sit with my father privately. “Heres my honest review of this place- Let me start of by saying Katherine, the woman who helped us the entire time was extremely professional & kind but the other young lady name started with an M maybe? she was very rude, & showed no care or compassion just straight face & no welcoming energy. But let me tell you ,CHECK OTHER OPTIONS!!!! if you can, please check other plans with other funeral homes. This place milks you of every. single. penny. They cost $600 for you to do the deceased’s makeup, $600 or $900 just to use the reception room, & so many additional things they charge for that SHOULD be FREE included with everything. The day of the funeral i specifically asked for certain things to be said and done and those instructions were completely dismissed. THEY DID NOT LISTEN!!!!! I asked for only immediate family to be allowed into the viewing BUT, people i didnt even recognize were able to see my loved one in that state. The reception plans afterwards werent announced after the fact, & The whole thing felt so RUSHED. They were so quick to get us out the door and i UNDERSTAND that have a time limit & such but we were the last service they had for the day… We had to go outside in the heat to say our goodbyes to other family members. $1000 just to transfer the body to them, and 7 thousand dollars to burn them in a cardboard box that still costed over $100. There are SOOOOO many better and cheaper options out there for you. Do not waste your time or money with these people, i even heard one of the old owners sons would take the money and not cremate the bodies…. Shady place i wish i knew not to go to sooner but hey they fooled another grieving family🤷♀️🤷♀️ Be that family they dont get to take from!!!!! Your loved ones deserve better than this place i guarantee you!!!!”
