Questions to Ask When You Call
You're not expected to know this. These questions help you compare and avoid surprises.
“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

What Families Say
“I flew in from out of town for a family member's funeral service 2 weeks ago. I was not involved with any of the planning but the service was held at Jensen Funeral Home. I was so impressed with the facility, the staff, and the memorial service. Greg was there that day and he is so pleasant and compassionate and made our experience much easier and positive. Greg went above and beyond for my family that day and I am grateful to the funeral home for helping to make our family member's service a special one. I recommend Jensen Funeral Home 100%.”

“I am extremely grateful to Jensen's, especially Judy Jo, for their straight-forward, supportive kindness during a very difficult time. Since I was visiting from out of town to help a family member in hospice care, Judy Jo allowed me to prearrange decisions that made everything much easier when my family member did pass. This has been the most pleasant experience I've ever had with a funeral home. They truly are a treasure. I wish I could transplant them when I go home so they could help take care of my community.”

“Jensens did an amazing job and went the extra mile for us. I would like to think it is because WE are special, but it is because Jensens are special jewels. This is how they operate by being compassionate and caring. We had the opposite experience from a funeral home on Rt 102 😳”
