You're not expected to know this. These questions help you compare and avoid surprises.
“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
This means they bill the insurance company directly. You don't pay thousands upfront and wait to be reimbursed.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
The FTC Funeral Rule protects you. Every funeral home must provide an itemized General Price List if you ask — in person or over the phone. You are never required to buy a package and can choose services individually. You also have the right to use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“We just wanted to say thank you so much for everyone at Angelus Chapel Funeral Director. We worked with Frank and his staff after my father’s passing and were very pleased with the overall experience. Frank is amazing how he has been taking care of his business. We appreciated the care and attentive nature of both he and Julissa in making sure our needs were met. Compassionate, professional, friendly. Outstanding care and service from Angelus 10 out of 10 . We are greatly recommend !!! 🙏💖🙏💖🙏💖”

“The best thing about this business experience is Ty McCulley. Mr. Franklin McCulley was never available until payment was due. Otherwise you never know what you are getting until you get it. During my brother's service, there were wilted brown edge roses draped over the casket which were supposed to be white; his eyes was either glued shut or sewed shut but looked as though he had false eye lashes; 40 pictures were presented as requested for a video but only 12 were shown during service in slow motion; wrote program, presented examples, explained couple times the layout of the program, proof read emails for program--results day of service incorrect date of birth printed, program printed on cheap paper; large space allowed for advertising the funeral home and price double from what was originally quoted. I understand that the staff was over worked, uneducated in the multiple tasks they were performing in May of 2025. However quality should never be deleted when handling the family of a lost loved one. Thanks Ty for all you did for us. CCunningham-Patterson”

“This is the best funeral home for anyone who is wondering. We went to 2 different funeral homes before this and the other 2 didn’t have the best vibes. The first one we went to the owner was too busy trying to sell how the funeral home looked rather than being sympathetic and listening to what we wanted. The second one wasn’t accommodating at all. When we came to angelus they were very sympathetic and accommodated everything we wanted. We felt good about this place as soon as we walked in. Thank you so much to Tanya, Veronica, and staff who helped us every step of the way and we didn’t have to worry about anything going wrong.”
