“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
This means they bill the insurance company directly. You don't pay thousands upfront and wait to be reimbursed.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.

“Michael doesn’t return phone calls. I have been trying to get a receipt for probate for several weeks. My lawyer couldn’t even get him to return a call. Michael got offended that I asked why it took seven days for my grandma to be cremated when Ibpicked up her remains after acquiring his services the next day after her passing.”

“Our deep appreciation to Cremation Services by the Sea. Our family live primarily in Iowa, Texas and Michigan; far from where my mother's nursing home was located. I can't express how much relief it was to all of us that Michael, of Cremation Services by the Sea, handled all arrangements for us. Michael was efficient, caring, and kind at a time when it was much needed. At the same time, he completely arranged for, and handled, putting to rest the ashes of my mother's deceased husband in the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, for which we are also extremely grateful. I can't imagine what we would have done without him and his services. I would highly recommend Cremation Services by the Sea to ease your mind and relieve your emotions at such a time of loss. Thank you, Michael, from the family of Rose Anne Ford.”

“Cremation Services by the Sea The death of my Uncle Per in 2018 led me to my first experience with dealing with someone's passing. My uncle had been in the hospital after a Stroke and was transferred to Hospice in Delray Medical Center upon diagnoses of Triple organ failure. It was now time to make preparations for his passing. This side of my family was not a fan of funerals and did not like physical grave locations. Per's parents had arrangements through the Neptune Society themselves. This made the decision of cremation and sea scattering an easy one. After calling a few local services I determined that Michael had been the warmest and most helpful in helping me understand what needed to be done on my uncles behalf. He offered a very reasonable price while not lacking on service. Through the process I had many questions which required many phone calls and he was always happy to help. In the process of moving our scattering document was lost, I gave him a call and he sent me a new copy no problem. September of 2019 I find myself once again in shock and in the need of services this time for my father. Another string of unfortunate circumstances police find my father dead in his apartment. Right away they say natural causes, no more questions asked. I called Cremation Services by the Sea to notify them of his passing and request they send transport. When we get to my father's apartment where the police are waiting for my father to be picked up we are discouraged from going in to see him and told to wait for the services to get there. It all felt a little strange but I was in shock my father is dead. The next day I get a call from Michael offering his condolences ready to assist me again with my needs. I filled out the forms with a few questions once again, made my selections and sent them off. This is crazy 61 years old and he is gone. Well Cremation Services goes on with their job and files for the death certificate for my father to which they are denied. The medical examiners were never called by the police and sufficient information was not provided, they were going to pick him up. Michael gave me a call right away to notify me of what had happened and the next steps. Meanwhile my fathers sister had requested a keepsake portion of remains after the fact to which was no problem, he worked with me and I felt great. The report comes back from the Medical examiners office, Accidental death Subdural Hematoma. Now I needed more death certificates, rather then make me wait and send multiple deliveries Michael sent an employee to pick up the additional ones so they would all come at once. My aunt received her package from Cremation Services when promised. When she opened it she sent a picture I was thrilled to see he did not just send it in a box, He picked this beautiful keepsake urn golden brass with pearl. It was so beautiful I had to have one myself, and while on the topic a Glass Cremation Keepsake. I called the office who took my info and Michael gave me a call. He still had my father's ashes and would be happy to fulfill my newest request recommending the healing stone cremation keepsake. I never thought I would want a Urn or Keepsake and that scattering was the only solution but here I am. Thank you again Michael and the crew at Cremation Services for the great service you provided me on multiple occasions. I hope I will not need you again any time soon, but highly recommend your services.”
