“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

A mortuary’s one job is to handle loved ones with dignity and respect, and they failed in the most catastrophic way possible. Families place their deepest trust in funeral homes, and this establishment shredded that trust completely. They should be ashamed of themselves. This business has no right to operate, no right to hold a license, and no right to handle anyone’s loved one ever again. If you value your family, your grief, and your peace of mind, stay far away from this place. Everyone needs to report them to every licensing board and consumer protection agency. And should be on the news immediately covering this. This wasn’t just a mistake it was an absolute disgrace. Y’all are tacky for having that banner posted in front of y'all building like that, talking about starting prices for a cremation of a body.
