Questions to Ask When You Call
You're not expected to know this. These questions help you compare and avoid surprises.
“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
“Do you offer payment plans?”
Many funeral homes allow you to spread the cost over time. Ask about down payments, terms, and financing options.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

What Families Say
“When my brother, Steven, passed the Kirikos Family Funeral Home called me within a few days of the medical examiner. They were very kind and provided me with all of my options, while being considerate of my feelings of the recent loss of my brother. I met with the senior Mr. Kirikos in his office. He was very compassionate and afforded me the opportunity to do the very best I could afford for my brother. It was a great pleasure working with him. I would highly recommend the Kirikos Family Funeral Home to anyone who has a death in their family. I believe you will find everyone you come in contact with to be caring and compassionate. ~ Catherine”

“I want to thank Rebecca and Kirikos for facilitating our mom's funeral. Rebecca's calm and sweet demeanor is a perfect match for dealing with stressed out family members. She delivered everything she promised. Her recommendation of having Joe Lucero officiate and his daughter sing acapella couldn't have been more perfect. I would highly recommend Kirikos.”

“BEWARE! After death of my mother, I was contacted by Doris regarding a life insurance policy. Doris stated to me that I was the secondary beneficiary and that I needed to sign some papers to pay for their service. When questioning Doris, knowing a "secondary beneficiary" doesn't sign anything, She stated "This is a tricky one, I don't know why they want you to sign" After receiving the papers it was a power of attorney giving them all rights to all the money. I came to find out that I am the Primary beneficiary and my brother had paid for all or some of the cost. I not sure what their scam is or was but it didn't work! Be aware, Do not sign over your life insurance to them!”
