“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
This means they bill the insurance company directly. You don't pay thousands upfront and wait to be reimbursed.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
The FTC Funeral Rule protects you. Every funeral home must provide an itemized General Price List if you ask — in person or over the phone. You are never required to buy a package and can choose services individually. You also have the right to use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“We chose this memorial service after reading so many positive reviews and truly hoped our grandmother would be treated with the dignity and respect she deserved. Unfortunately, our experience was deeply upsetting. They were two hours late collecting her body, which added unnecessary stress during an already devastating time. When they finally arrived, they covered my grandmother with a tattered old blanket, something that felt careless and disrespectful and really upset my mother. My grieving mother had specifically asked to be notified when the cremation took place, as it was important for her healing process and a way to feel close to her mother one last time. They assured us this would happen, but never contacted us, leaving us feeling ignored and betrayed. What was supposed to be a compassionate and supportive experience has instead been painful, stressful, and deeply disappointing. We trusted Bobbitt to take care of our grandmother and were assured that she would be treated with care and respect, but it truly felt as though they did not care. We share this review in the hope that Bobbitt will take these concerns seriously and treat other families with the compassion and dignity every loved one deserves.”

“Losing a loved one is never easy, but Ryan Stotz made the process of arranging my grandfather’s memorial service as smooth and comforting as possible. From the moment we first reached out, Ryan was incredibly kind, efficient, and thorough. He made sure every detail was taken care of while keeping us informed every step of the way. His communication was excellent, always available to answer any questions and address any concerns we had, which provided a great sense of relief during such a difficult time. Ryan's professionalism was evident throughout, but it was his genuine compassion and understanding that really stood out. He was patient with us and ensured the entire process was respectful of our wishes. His efforts truly helped make a painful time easier to navigate, and for that, we are incredibly grateful. We highly recommend Ryan Stotz for anyone in need of funeral services. His kindness and efficiency made all the difference, and we’ll always be thankful for his support during this time of loss.”

“I lost my baby brother very unexpectedly in November, just a week before Thanksgiving. With our parents out of state I started calling several different funeral homes to just get an idea of prices. Tyler answered my call when I called Bobbitt. The very first question he as was my brother name. And thought our conversation about what my family wanted for him Tyler used his name. That meant so much to, and our parents when I told them. All the other places did not even ask. When our mother was able to get her from Washington Tyler and everything taken can of for my family. It made it seamless as possible. Tyler I can’t thank you enough for the care that you took with my family and with my brother. You made one the most difficult times so much easier on my entire family. I would recommend Bobbitt to anyone that is looking for a loving and caring place to take care of your loved ones. Thank you again Tyler and the entire Bobbitt staff your amazing service and support during this difficult time.”
