You're not expected to know this. These questions help you compare and avoid surprises.
“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
This means they bill the insurance company directly. You don't pay thousands upfront and wait to be reimbursed.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
The FTC Funeral Rule protects you. Every funeral home must provide an itemized General Price List if you ask — in person or over the phone. You are never required to buy a package and can choose services individually. You also have the right to use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“My wife passed away and Beach funeral home treated my family as their family. Jeff went above and beyond what we could have expected. Through the entire process we were kept informed on everything. Very thankful and appreciative. God bless them!”

“Beach Funeral Home is holding my father’s body hostage! He passed away on February 19th, 2026. Even though there’s a life insurance policy to show them, proving we will have the funds, they refuse to cremate him in time for his funeral. Corporate policy… this is the problem; small local family owned business bought out by corporations who don’t care about anything but profits. It’s just sinful, an absolute disgrace that my father’s body has been in their “climate controlled care center” (corporate-speak for their morgue) for almost 2 weeks because of their greed. We’ve called, crying and pleading, but they’ve stonewalled us. They were even asked to give us a written contract that's payable with interest, and they refused. We went to them because they did a wonderful job of my mother’s cremation, so my dad wanted his there too. He’d be very dismayed to know the truth now. Their corporate owners are Foundation Partners Group, LLC. whom I also called but haven’t gotten a response. DO NOT USE THIS CORPORATE FUNERAL HOME IF YOU NEED COMPASSION. Go to Island Cremations instead. UPDATE: Ascencion Social Concern, affiliated with Ascension Catholic Church where my dad was a very involved member, has paid for my father's cremation, and we are now able to have his funeral as planned.”

“Jeff was very kind in our hour of need. He was sympathetic and considerate. Julie was helpful sending resources as to what happens next as well as sending links for a grief support. I would highly recommend Beach Funeral Home. Thank you all for your kindness and compassion. 💟”
