“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
This means they bill the insurance company directly. You don't pay thousands upfront and wait to be reimbursed.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
The FTC Funeral Rule protects you. Every funeral home must provide an itemized General Price List if you ask — in person or over the phone. You are never required to buy a package and can choose services individually. You also have the right to use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“I've purchased a cremation box and a casket from them before but this time I had my beloved cat cremated. Each time I was treated with compassion and professionalism. The box they put my baby in was beautiful and had his name engraved. The paw print was beautifully done with his name and there were even grief poems printed for me. After having vet set it all up, I was too upset, I had a regret. I kept thinking I was I told them to get a clip of his fur. When I went to pick Mitchell up, there was a clipping of his fur. That meant so much to me. The whole package I was given was well put together. Everything was so respectfully and beautifully packaged. Thank you so much for making this experience comforting.”

“Recently I was pet sitting, and one of them died 3 days in to the pet parents being gone. All I had for reference was a list of emergency contacts, the vet's contact info, and the name 'A Pet's Memory.' I took the baby up there at opening and was greeted with kindness and warmth. Summer helped me through the difficult process of deciding what to do, as the owners had not set up prearrangments. I could not be happier with the service and care I received during all of these interactions. There was another team member who was also very kind when I went back to pick up the paw print, but I didn't get her name. I know my vet uses this establishment, as we have had 2 of our own babies cremated here. As far as a service you never want to have to use goes, I highly recommend A Pet's Memory. My experience was 10/10 for what it had to be. Thank you. What you do is important, and I hope you realize how much you are appreciated.”

“Recently lost my childhood dog yesterday and came by today to do the private cremation. They were nice, understanding and compassionate. They didn’t try to upsell me anything. They were great at explaining the process. Definitely recommend.”
