You're not expected to know this. These questions help you compare and avoid surprises.
“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
This means they bill the insurance company directly. You don't pay thousands upfront and wait to be reimbursed.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
The FTC Funeral Rule protects you. Every funeral home must provide an itemized General Price List if you ask — in person or over the phone. You are never required to buy a package and can choose services individually. You also have the right to use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“We needed a car and went to Cable Dahmer where we met Lucas. He's very laid back and easy to work with. Overall, we were happy with our experience.”

“I should say first that our service manager Sabra has been amazing. The only problem is this dealership does not want to honor the warranty they sold us. This is our second vehicle that we purchased from this dealership , though previously it was under different ownership. We have purchased the highest most expensive warranty available, and now they don't want to make good on it. We have an oil leak that has been evident since the first 6 months of owning the vehicle. They have put an oil log in place so that we can document this and there is proof of it. They still continue to deny any engine problem or take any responsibility. My vehicle is a 2022 Chevy Blazer which I love, but it has been in the shop more times than any other vehicle I have ever owned. All for reasons such as" service all-wheel drive" what I get is excuses that are not legitimate. The first time they told me they never got the sensor to flash. They never got the warning to come up so they simply had me pick my vehicle up. The second time they told me it was a sensor and they replaced it. The third time they told me it was the car battery because the car battery was running low. We replaced the car battery. The error reading came up even more than before. At least once or twice every single day" service all-wheel drive system" This time is a real doozy, the service manager called me talking so fast. I can barely understand what she was saying. Trying to say it had to do with a loose wire. And then stating that my tires were wearing unevenly and they needed to provide service that is not covered under my warranty.. wanting me to agree to pay $211. This is so very frustrating. They have done nothing but make excuses and we will definitely not be buying from this dealership again, sad to say because with the previous ownership we had a great experience”

“My husband and I recently purchased a vehicle from your dealership, and we are absolutely thrilled with our purchase! Jacob was our salesman, and he delivered truly top-notch service from start to finish. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and completely transparent throughout the entire process. Mr. Gallegos in finance was just as wonderful — he worked tirelessly to find us a great lender and made everything clear and easy to understand. We’ll be recommending your dealership to everyone we know! The 45-minute drive from Kansas City was so worth it. ☺️ We’re already looking forward to doing business with you all again in the near future!”
