“Hello Everyone i dont why others gave bad reviews because i have use Strong & Jones Funeral services about 5 years and the help me put tremendously the only problem i had was with them was that they "seem" to had lost my burial application however after a few calls to them they finally found it and took it from there and did a great job with the small funds i had at that time to prepare her for burial of my mother as soon as possible before she decomposed to much all the way in Jacksonville. i had no idea what to do about this laying her to rest in the cemetery another family member is currently in using. the situation was somewhat very overwhelming to me but they help through it all. They took care of the transportation and burial to put her in the same cemetery where other family is in So i thank them very much for helping me through it all. “I wish I could give 0 stars, please go to any other funeral home but this one. Let's start with the first issue: we advised the funeral home we were unable to find my mother's insurance policy and didn't have the money to pay for any expenses. My mother is a war-time Veteran and I asked them to coordinate a memorial at the National Cemetery. The day before the memorial services, upon inquiring about it, they advised us that we couldn't have it at the cemetery because they are not opened on the weekend. So we settled for having it at Strong & Jones' chapel. Then we were advised we were unable to hold the memorial services until we paid the full balance. I advised them we didn't have any money, then we started a GoFundMe and asked for donations from family members. I reminded them she was Veteran, they asked to email her DD214, which was done. They said they would get in contact with the VA and request them to cover the additional expenses. Then proceeded to tell us we only had to pay $1000. THEY advised they would cover the other expenses between them and the VA, so we could move forward with the process of having a memorial and getting my mom cremated. We had the memorial service with no Veteran honors. If you attended her memorial you wouldn't have even known she served. Now they are holding her ashes hostage, saying that we owe the original remaining balance of $1428, that they previously advised us they would work with the VA to cover. Since I didn't get it in writing I cannot prove it, which is worse. I feel like I was taken advantage of in my time of grief. In addition, I feel just like my sister in the previous review, it feels like my mother's ashes are being held hostage until we pay money that we previously were told and discussed to be covered 💔”

“I am truly disgusted and upset. My mother passed in April of this year. Why she request Strong and Jones, will be forever a mystery to me. My sister's and I have been hoodwinked and its terrible. Its 2 days from christmas and we have been trying to recive my mothers remains for more than 3 months. I'm not sure if Mr.Patterson regularly holds families loved ones remains hostage, what he has planned for my mothers ashes, and or why he told me that my family would pay a certain amount and that Strong & Jones would cover the remaining balance and now we're supposed to pull $1400 out of thin air when we thought it was covered... but you will not hear the end of me or my sister's until we've received my mothers ashes.”
