“My amazing Mother, Brenda Lea Armke, passed away into God's loving hands on September 13, 2025. Like most, I wasn't looking forward to meeting with the funeral home, but Ms Frances Garza Bunde welcomed our eclectic family and put us all at ease. She patiently presented and expertly discussed all kinds of available options and answered our many questions, including those concerning actual sizes, colors and expense; never trying to steer us towards any one thing over another. The presence of each guest at my Mother's viewing was meaningful, and the spacious chapel room allowed for a relaxed, spiritual atmosphere; plenty of space for a wake, when intimate conversations become private or taking place at the same time. The sounds of my Mom's favorite songs playing in the background were just right, and the large, wall mounted flat screens displayed endless slideshow presentations of "all things Mom"; everyone loved it. The flexibility Frances offered our group concerning dates and times was valued and appreciated by our group of slow-movers. It was nice having the committal service at Comal Cemetery take place the day after the wake. Everything at the cemetery was handled just right, and Zoeller's people at the burial site were more than willing to assist with anything we asked, and did so in a pleasing, capable manner. Zoeller and Frances were always open to our thoughts and ideas, making the entire process enjoyable, and a true celebration of my Mother's life. My father prepared the obituary and it was nicely displayed at the wake. When asked if an original poem could be used in the funeral program, Frances said, "no problem". Frances is quite talented and has the perfect personality for dealing with all types, making everyone feel heard and important. Zoeller Funeral Director, Ms Frances Garza Bunde is a skilled professional with ability to collect input from each of us, and just like magic, incorporate everything we wanted to create an enduring, first-class presentation and service for my Mom.
