“We could not have been more heartbroken to say goodbye to Raymond Mattson, SPC-4 (P) (Ret), US Army, our cherished brother, cousin, brother-in-law, uncle and great uncle who bravely served America in the Vietnam War. And, we could not be more grateful to Matthew Pichi, the new owner of the "Sperry - McHoul - Pichi Funeral Home" for his true professionalism, his vast experience and his superb leadership. From the first phone call we shared with Matt on the night Raymond died, we were so impressed with his leadership and compassion. Our entire family remarked about the way Matt stood out as a compassionate leader. Matt blends true warmth, comfort and caring into his leadership style. Special thanks as well to Fred who arrived very early in the morning to help us set up all of the beautiful easels for our photo boards. We had a vision of how we would like to honor our loved one Raymond with Full Military Honors complete with a burial in the National Cemetery on Cape Cod. And, Matt and his team made that vision come true, all while exceeding our expectations every step of the way.
