You're not expected to know this. These questions help you compare and avoid surprises.
“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
This means they bill the insurance company directly. You don't pay thousands upfront and wait to be reimbursed.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
The FTC Funeral Rule protects you. Every funeral home must provide an itemized General Price List if you ask — in person or over the phone. You are never required to buy a package and can choose services individually. You also have the right to use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“I haven't not been impressed the lack of attention for landscaping is disheartening. I also have seen that they run over graves with lawnmowers causing damage to other headstones . On Memorial Day they made sure to put flags out for the graves in front for vets but the graves at the back did not have on them. I spent hours that day putting flags on graves and fixing those they put in the ground halfway.. A year later update nothing has changed … This memorial day no flags on the graves for the fallen unless you want to pick used one up from the tent as you come in . No coordination with local vet groups to even sponsor or ask for volunteers .. so sad in such a highly saturated military area the management team could care less. I would be ashamed… same excuse regarding firing contracted landscapers and hiring their own well news flash I would fire them … I would not even bury road kill here. 4/2023 Still same picked up trash on memorial day. The staff does great job riding in golf cart thats about it ... had to weed and cut my gradmothers grave . Other headstone sitting out for days ... see new pic . I could have taken more pics but honestly what is the purpose when they pay pennies for lawn care and could care less... 12/16/23 Gary take such great pride in those who rest here thats a complete joke. The only thing that concerns you is the all mighty dollar 💵. Take a look at the latest and greatest from your team . You're too cheap to purchase plywood so you don't put tire marks and divots all over peoples graves !!! and how about not rolling over the place markers oh thats right you don't care because it may result in some more green for you ! A monkey could run this place better.”

“The staff here is amazing!! Went to visit my nephew who's marker was not to arrive until maybe February. It came early(on his birthday) & as we arrived... we found the grounds men laying his stone!!! How incrediblably awesome...”

“Every time I come visit my family and friends, I’m always disappointed. My wife left a review they responded. She sent her information and they NEVER got back to her! Every time I go, I have to take my weed eater and blower I will clear my family and friends headstones but I can never stop there especially when I see Veterans head stones that are covered in weeds! I did about 7 graves in 5 minutes so I don’t know what they are paying the “grounds keepers” for but all they do is mow! Oh and if you have someone here, check your vases, they run the over and damage them all the time.”
