“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”

“What's included vs. what's extra?”

Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

The things that stood out to me that I had never seen at a funeral home before was that Kleenex were provided to every row, there was a mini fridge well stocked with waters and different sodas. Kleenex and water is a must for me at a funeral and especially at my grandfather's. Even when the funeral had wrapped up and we were discussing how to load up the flowers we were told to leave them and the director would deliver them to the house later.
