“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
This means they bill the insurance company directly. You don't pay thousands upfront and wait to be reimbursed.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
The FTC Funeral Rule protects you. Every funeral home must provide an itemized General Price List if you ask — in person or over the phone. You are never required to buy a package and can choose services individually. You also have the right to use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“Thank you so much for the care and dignity you all showed my family during the funeral of my father. Our wishes were not only met but exceeded. We worked with Stephanie and she showed us such compassion and patience through the planning all the way through services offered after the funeral. I would highly recommend using their services if you have a loved one that passes.”

“Ducro funeral services has worked with my family for decades. They have buried my great grandfather, great grandmother, grandfather, grandmother, and now my mother. JP and Morgan were amazing through the entire process. I can't say enough nice things about them. They were professional they worked with me and another funeral home that wasn't as professional to get my mother body to Ohio. It wasn't just that Morgan and JP were professional they added some personal touches that really made the day special. By this I mean they painted the vault purple because that was my mom favorite color. They found out about the nurse honor guard and got them to do a ceremony on the day. They found a blanket with the nurses prayer and a stethoscope and added that to the decoration. They also spent like 2 hours decorating the funeral home with all the pictures I brought. The funeral home itself is nice because it has a reception area in the back for gathering after the funeral.”

“Our family is thankful to highly recommend JP Ducro and their funeral services. Our father, Dr. Huang, has recently passed. JP did an amazing job working with us in this very difficult time. His compassion and the way he carried himself was perfect. He also made sure everything was well taken care of from picking up our father, to his calling hours, and to his funeral. He offered ideas that we would have never thought of having to complete. We had multiple compliments on JP from our family and friends. The calling hours line was long, some of our friends had to wait near an hour... JP made them feel comfortable offering water to hanging up their coats. Finally, we just want share that JP Ducro CARES. Thank you for caring and making this difficult experience as good as it could be.”
