You're not expected to know this. These questions help you compare and avoid surprises.
“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
This means they bill the insurance company directly. You don't pay thousands upfront and wait to be reimbursed.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
The FTC Funeral Rule protects you. Every funeral home must provide an itemized General Price List if you ask — in person or over the phone. You are never required to buy a package and can choose services individually. You also have the right to use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“Losing my beloved granddaughter unexpectedly was a devastating experience, but Robinson Funeral Home was a true source of comfort and support during such a difficult time. From the very beginning, their team showed compassion, professionalism, and a genuine willingness to help—no matter the hour. They were always available to answer our questions or address concerns, day or night, and their responsiveness brought us peace of mind when we needed it most. We are especially grateful for their ability to provide a beautiful and dignified service at the last minute, on Christmas Eve no less—something that speaks volumes about their commitment to the families they serve. Thank you, Robinson Funeral Home, for helping us honor and lay my granddaughter to rest with grace and care. Your kindness will never be forgotten.”

“On behalf of the Caudle, Wilkerson, and McClelland families, we extend our heartfelt thanks for the outpouring of love, support, and exemplary service shown to us during our time of bereavement. The Robinson Funeral Home embraced us with open arms, making our experience not only memorable but profoundly meaningful. The prayers and service provided were nothing short of exceptional, and they transformed a time of deep sorrow into one remembered with grace, love, and even joy. We are especially grateful to Sister Precious Robinson for her compassion and swift intervention on the day of our beloved Vincent’s passing. Her efforts to promptly secure his remains and bring them to your facility, despite the delays and complications within the insurance system, were extraordinary. Because of her actions, we were spared the added pain of having Vincent’s remains transported out of the city, which would have only deepened our sorrow. That single act of love and trust brought us immense comfort, and we will always remember it with gratitude. Additionally, we want to acknowledge the care and sensitivity shown in preparing Vincent’s body for viewing. Given his physical condition, having lost a significant amount of weight, we were uncertain about the possibility of an open casket. However, after thoughtful consideration and consultation with Precious and her team's work, we were at peace moving forward with the viewing. Sister Precious went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied with the preparation. The extraordinary work done made it possible for family and friends to find peace, dignity, and closure during the service, an immeasurable gift to all who came to say goodbye. Another moment that stood out to us was the opportunity you gave us to close Vincent’s coffin as a family. It was a moment that will remain with us forever, something we had never experienced before, yet it was so thoughtful, intimate, and deeply symbolic. That moment of participation brought us a sense of peace, release and connection that we will never forget. It was a quiet, sacred act that brought great comfort to our hearts and helped us truly begin the healing process. All of your prayers, kindness, and thoughtfulness have been and will continue to be a deep source of comfort to our family in the days ahead. We are truly grateful. And to you, Ms. Precious: thank you. You truly live up to your name, which means “valuable, esteemed, special, and beloved”. While we understand that this is a business, it is an even greater blessing that you choose to serve with such heart, compassion, and care during some of the most difficult and challenging moments in people’s lives. Your presence in this work is a gift to every family you touch. John F. Kennedy once said, “As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words but to live by them.” The love and service that Robinson Funeral Home so faithfully lives by is a priceless reflection of God’s heart, something no words or wealth could ever truly repay. Yet, in the spirit of gratitude and love, we offer this seed offering to Ms. Precious as a humble gift for her ministry of bereavement. May it serve as a small token of our appreciation for her selfless service and the heart with which she carries out her calling. It has been an honor to work with you in making Vincent’s celebration of life truly memorable in the most precious way (no pun intended!). Thank you for your service as unto the Lord. May the Lord bless you and keep you; May His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace. From Our Hearts, Walteara Caudle, Ashley Wilkerson and Sheila McClelland Families July 3, 2025”
