The FTC Funeral Rule protects you. Every funeral home must provide an itemized General Price List if you ask — in person or over the phone. You are never required to buy a package and can choose services individually. You also have the right to use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“Gene Carter and Otis Evans are well liked and respected in the High Springs area, When they owned and operated the funeral home that bears their names you were treated with love, respect and dignity. Not so anymore sadly to say. My mom Katie Hewett died on 1/24/2024, There was none of the love or attentiveness shown by the current staff of the funeral home as compared to Otis and Evans. The current staff and owners have a total lack of professionalism and customer service. If I could do over i would . I trusted the Evans and.Carters names and that's what the current owners and staff are banking on.”

“Never hand over your Insurance Policy to them. They damaged my fathers face and the funeral home he was sent to out of state was very shocked at their services. They over charged from what they had previously said. Never trust them.... they do not do as agreed. I had to go and ask for a receipt. They were very hesitate to hand me one. After its all done I sure wished I had went with another Funeral home. If you do not want to be taken advantage of find a different Funeral Home than Evans Carter in High Springs, Fl. Do Not Trust Them With Your Love Ones...”
