Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“Losing my mother in law has been one of the hardest things I have ever been through. Fred's personal and professional service went above and beyond. We are from out of town and he literally met us at the hotel to fill out the questionnaire for the death certificate. He was compassionate and personable. He was able to process our payment right there on his phone. Fred has been doing this for a long time. I had called another funeral home first because I recognized the name. It was Baldwin Cremation Services BUT it had been bought by a new owner and is now Cremation Services of Knoxville, LLC. While Eric was extremely kind and understanding at FIRST he became sharp with us during our difficult time because we had questions about the intrusive nature of the questions he asked for the death certificate. Neither my husband nor I had filled out a questionnaire for a death certificate before and we were unaware of the types of questions we needed to answer. However, Eric became not very compassionate and didn't help us through the questionnaire. So ,as previously stated we decided NOT to do business with Eric of the Cremation Services of Knoxville LLC. On the other hand I highly recommend Fred of East Tennessee Mortuary Services. He is a kind and compassionate gentleman who actually was cheaper than the other service provider, anyway. Which,while that was nice, the more important thing was that our mother in law be treated respectfully during the process of being picked up and cremated”
