You're not expected to know this. These questions help you compare and avoid surprises.
“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
This means they bill the insurance company directly. You don't pay thousands upfront and wait to be reimbursed.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
The FTC Funeral Rule protects you. Every funeral home must provide an itemized General Price List if you ask — in person or over the phone. You are never required to buy a package and can choose services individually. You also have the right to use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“My father passed away on April 14, 2025, and we had his service on May 10, 2025. Andrew, Jessica and staff were absolutely amazing from beginning to end. We were in such a state and they were exceptional working with us while we grieved. They made the planning of everything so smooth and we trusted that they would take care of my dad with dignity and respect! They did not let us down! They took pride in listening to things that made our dad, dad. Every detail of things that he enjoyed in life, was incorporated in his home going. The service couldn't have been any better, and most importantly, my mother was so pleased with everything! Thank you all so much for the care you provided! It made our grieving process all the more bearable, knowing dad was taken very good care of! We appreciate you all more than you could ever know!! Rest easy dad, we love you ❤️🙏🏽‼️”

“Review for Andrew Seymour - Family Service Counselor I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Andrew Seymour, Family Service Counselor at Fountainhead Memorial Park and Funeral Home, for his outstanding assistance with the burial arrangements for my mom, Pearl, who passed away in September 2024. My mom lived in California, and making arrangements to transfer her to Florida could have been an incredibly stressful experience. However, Andrew’s kindness, professionalism, and care made the process smooth and comforting from start to finish. Andrew was with us every step of the way. Whether by text or phone call, he was always available to answer questions, provide guidance, and ensure that every detail was handled with precision and respect. His dedication and calm demeanor helped ease the burden during a very emotional time for our family. The funeral and burial took place during the weekend of October 11, 2024 precisely as Hurricane Milton was passing through Melbourne, Florida. Despite the potential for disruption, Andrew’s unwavering support and reassurance encouraged us to move forward with the proceedings. His calm and steady presence helped us maintain our composure during uncertain conditions. Remarkably, on the day of the burial, October 12, the storm cleared, and the sun shone brightly with a cool breeze, creating a serene and beautiful atmosphere. It was heartwarming to lay my mom to rest under such perfect conditions, surrounded by friends and family. From the moment we arrived in Florida, Andrew’s commitment to excellence shone through. He greeted us ahead of time, showed us the burial site, and was present during the entire ceremony. He ensured that every aspect, from the music to the refreshments, was perfectly arranged. His meticulous planning and personal touch gave us peace of mind and allowed us to focus on honoring my mom’s memory. The seamless collaboration between Fountainhead Memorial Park and Jennings Mortuary, facilitated by Andrew, made what could have been a daunting process a smooth and respectful experience. Andrew’s empathy, professionalism, and attention to detail ensured that everything went as planned, making an otherwise difficult situation as peaceful as possible. On behalf of the Bryan family, I want to thank Andrew Seymour and the entire Fountainhead Memorial Park and Funeral Home team for their exceptional service. Andrew’s dedication deserves the highest praise and a five-star review. We are deeply grateful for the care and support he provided during this challenging time. Sincerely, Kaz”

“How would you feel if your loved one was buried in an unmarked grave for 2 years? My grandfather was buried at fountainhead in June 2022. After the funeral my mother purchased a gravestone that costed over $3000. It is January 2024 and his grave is still completely unmarked. Every few months Solaey or Shanna promises the burial site will be ready in 2-3 months only for nothing to happen and to never hear from anyone at Fountainhead unless we spend a whole day trying to reach management. The last time we spoke to Solaey in November we were promised to receive some sort of reimbursement for the wait and still we’ve heard nothing. My family is not rich and we’ve been paying interest on the $3000 gravestone for over a year and we have no update whatsoever on when we’ll actually receive it. This company used to be fantastic and wholesome when I had my grandmother buried in 2009 but since then they have become despicable and money-hungry with no care towards grieving families. My mother has trouble using the phone and they refuse to provide any information on the gravestone or its progress unless we are calling from her number even if my mother gave me full permission to resolve this situation that is extremely stessful for her. Avoid Fountainhead if you want a smooth farewell to your loved ones.”
