You're not expected to know this. These questions help you compare and avoid surprises.
“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
This means they bill the insurance company directly. You don't pay thousands upfront and wait to be reimbursed.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
The FTC Funeral Rule protects you. Every funeral home must provide an itemized General Price List if you ask — in person or over the phone. You are never required to buy a package and can choose services individually. You also have the right to use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“I truly cherish my visits to this church for countless reasons; it embraces everyone with open arms, offering a heartfelt space for all to come together in worship of the Lord.”

“We have attended Pax Christi since before it was built, off, and on at times, because we did, or didn’t agree with what was happening at the church all the time. We have been members since 1983. Father Tim Powers married us in 1978, at another parish, and we followed him to Eden Prairie, and made this our home. I am grateful for the direction the church is taking, its inclusiveness, and hospitality. Father Bill is so great, and we are grateful to have him. Our children were baptized here, some our grandchildren too. Our family has tried b to keep, and follow our faith, even though it’s been a struggle for most throughout this past 41+ years. Pax Christi is not the only parish that has struggled through problems in the Catholic Church, but it is our church, and we’ve decided to keep it that way. Swanson, Eden Prairie”

“I go to this church every Sunday and I recommend this place. It is contemporary, the people are nice, top of the line facilities, has lots of rooms for classes of all kinds, and also have sign language translation service during the 11am service on Sundays. The choir is top notch. The orchestra band sounds full and great. They have a large kids area too to keep the kids in separate areas while the service is going in the main area. Overall it is the best Catholic Church I've been to. Not only that, the priests are funny too. It's never a boring sermon.”
