Rory was great to help us navigate thru the process, Brenna was so creative coordinating the pictures cardinal tickets and all, Joe was very calming and informative when my mom passed. “I never write Google reviews, but this experience was important enough that I feel a responsibility to share it so other families in our community have an honest understanding of how this funeral home operates. From the beginning, the funeral director was unprofessional, unkind, and lacked even basic compassion during one of the most difficult times our family has ever faced. At our initial meeting, we were very clear—multiple times—that we wanted everything to be simple. That request was completely disregarded. What was especially upsetting was that the cost of the life celebration materials was never clearly presented or discussed with us upfront. These expenses were added without transparency, leaving our family feeling taken advantage of during a time when we were vulnerable and grieving. No family should be put in a position where financial details are unclear or withheld in a situation like this. When we later approached the funeral director to express our disappointment and concerns regarding the lack of transparency and compassion, his response was defensive rather than understanding or empathetic. There was no accountability, no acknowledgment of how his actions affected our family—only justification and dismissal. Funeral services should be handled with honesty, respect, and genuine care. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here. I hope this review helps other families make informed decisions and avoid going through what we did.”

“I wasn’t sure what to expect as this was the first funeral I have had to plan other than my Gpa’s that was at the beginning of Covid… (couldn’t do much then)… I was beyond PROUD at the home going that Rory and his team provided. It was BEAUTIFUL! My GMA deserved the BEST and that is exactly what they gave her! We had over 100 pictures and they managed to display them all, they also integrated my grandma‘s pictures with her favorite things such as watching the show Survivor, as well as the better Home and Gardens magazines… I struggled to read her obituary at the funeral and I remember Rory right beside me with the tissue… all in all I 10000000% recommend O’Donnel-Cookson when laying your loved to rest.”
