You're not expected to know this. These questions help you compare and avoid surprises.
“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
This means they bill the insurance company directly. You don't pay thousands upfront and wait to be reimbursed.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
The FTC Funeral Rule protects you. Every funeral home must provide an itemized General Price List if you ask — in person or over the phone. You are never required to buy a package and can choose services individually. You also have the right to use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“Truly an awakening. The church Invites and teaches not only spiritually, but a new outlook of life and community. Please come. “It was built in 1904, and is a cruciform shaped church constructed of soft gray brick (concrete block with brick veneer) with details in limestone. It is in the late Gothic Revival style. The front facade features a set of three double doors flanked by 80' spires terminating in cross gable spires.” Father Piotr Thomas. I Thank you for your temporary service with Saint Hedwigs Church Well father Andrew grew strong and came back to us. 2 Left just of June 2022 to be with his own Church in Michigan Detroit”

“St. Hedwig Church in Wilmington is truly exceptional. It is a beautiful and welcoming Catholic church that offers Mass in Polish, conducted by Polish priests who bring their faith and heritage to the parish. The pastor, Father Andrew, is an extraordinary and kind-hearted priest who is always willing to listen and help. In the past, we were blessed with Father Adam, who was also wonderful, though he has since been reassigned to Massachusetts. Now, Father Janusz continues the tradition of kindness and approachability, making everyone feel welcome. The parish community is filled with amazing people. My younger son was baptized here, and both of my sons received their First Holy Communion and First Confession in this church. In September, my eldest son was confirmed here in a beautiful ceremony presided over by the bishop. The preparation for the sacraments was outstanding, including retreats that the children absolutely loved. These retreats were well-organized, with engaging activities and even refreshments for the kids. The church also offers religious education classes for children on Sundays, which are both interesting and enriching. The kids receive books to help them learn about their faith in a meaningful way. I highly recommend St. Hedwig Church for its vibrant community, dedicated clergy, and wonderful programs for children and families. It is a place where faith comes alive, and you feel truly connected to God and to others.”

“Very nice church and grounds. It's not my place of worship. Or frankly my religion but I can appreciate how everything looks here and is upkept”
