The FTC Funeral Rule protects you. Every funeral home must provide an itemized General Price List if you ask — in person or over the phone. You are never required to buy a package and can choose services individually. You also have the right to use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“Hello: My name is Crete Gordon-Perry. I recently learned that my ex-husband Robert C. Perry's body was cared for by Chapels of Eden Funeral Home when he passed Oct.3, 2024. Unfortunately I have called four times to ascertain if my ex was buried or cremated. If he was buried, where and if cremated, what happened with his ashes. Each time I called, I was told someone would get back to me. As of March 4th, no call as been returned. This is despicable and unprofessional. Robert C.
