Questions to Ask When You Call
You're not expected to know this. These questions help you compare and avoid surprises.
“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
“Do you offer payment plans?”
Many funeral homes allow you to spread the cost over time. Ask about down payments, terms, and financing options.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

What Families Say
“Thank you for the exceptional support you provided to our family. During one of the most difficult times in our lives, your attention to detail, warmth, and understanding meant everything to us. We truly appreciate the dignity and respect you showed in caring for our dad and for all of us.”
— Ashley Sanzone
“Our family has had many deaths, and Carol and Diane handled each service with dignity and poise. I am very pleased with the variety of services they offered, at many different price levels. We've opted from simple to extravagant burials and ceremonies, and it was truly wonderful to work with two amazing women, as well as the rest of their staff. They treat us with respect, and not as a number, but as individuals. I would recommend this business to anyone who needs compassion and empathy during their loss of loved ones. As this post was written many years ago, as of now, in 2024, this establishment is still providing the best service for our family. It has been both an honor and a pleasure to have the funeral home attendants and staff as part of our circle.”
— Michelle Faraci
“Highly recommended. I had the pleasure of planning a memorial with Diane and had Johnathan the assisting the day of. Both handled the event wonderfully. Diane was extremely helpful and patient when I called to begin the process and was willing to work with me and my husband on starting the process (as I was away at the time). She was quick to respond and available to meet.”
— Patricia Gallucci
