Questions to Ask When You Call
You're not expected to know this. These questions help you compare and avoid surprises.
“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

What Families Say
“Renegade 38ft w/Jeep. FHU, 50A & level. Site CT030. A RVer in a pull thru had trouble leveling his big rig. Ours was perfect. No trees or shade. Surrounded by vegetation & trees but CG is absent if all trees. New concrete pads & nice patio area (large). Site was fairly private on our patio side. Nice staff. Convenient to grocery, shopping, casinos. Park WiFi was sufficient until heavy rains then it slowed down. Deployed Starlink. We camped at Sam Houston Jones State Park in a Motorhome.”

“Camping review - picked this spot randomly on the way to my final destination and was pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the water and tree roots here. Love that there's a pond right across from campsites. Good bathrooms with hot showers and each campsite has fire ring with grill, standing grill, table, water, electric. Only complaint of that there are no shrubbery in between campsites for privacy (luckily adjacent sites were empty for me). Campground itself felt more like a parking lot. There's also a big Street lamp by the bathrooms. - good for visibility, bad for nature feel. I always do appreciate when the path to the bathroom is paved though, keeps your feet clean from shower back to your bed.”

“At the time of this post , the park has recently refreshed the amenities and trails. The RV area is paved with a clean new restroom and shower area that is air conditioned. There are two blink Level 2 EV chargers that currently cost $0.39/KW. The roads in the park have been repaved, and the cabins are brand new. They have done a fantastic job of clearing and improving the trails with signage. There is a new boardwalk along the river near the kids playground area with breathtaking views. I am really impressed and hope the park continues this level of maintenance!”
