You're not expected to know this. These questions help you compare and avoid surprises.
“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
This means they bill the insurance company directly. You don't pay thousands upfront and wait to be reimbursed.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
The FTC Funeral Rule protects you. Every funeral home must provide an itemized General Price List if you ask — in person or over the phone. You are never required to buy a package and can choose services individually. You also have the right to use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“From the time my Father passed and I had to make the phone call to the funeral home they have been flawless, kind, and went above and beyond for my family. Olivia is absolutely amazing from the time we sat down with her and her Staff, right up to her being there and attentive to my mother and I's needs. She was always there, answered every question or email. Her staff was on point with setting up food, pictures, and I was honored they let my Father's Harley next to his casket. I highly recommend this funeral home to anybody. The personal touches and the little kind things is what made this so special. Thanks Olivia and the whole staff at Warren Funeral Home.”

“Warren has now done 4 loved ones for us. The staff is outstanding. They help in every way. They were kind and polite and respectful of the deceased. They did not try to upsell anything. The 3 stars..well my MIL's funeral and burial was at Warren in July 2025. The room for the funeral had gnats and little annoying flying bugs. Yuckie. My BIL's body recently was handled by Warren and they did a great job. My only issue is again with the premises. The mausoleum chapel smelled like a dead rat. Now if I were the only person that smelled this, this would not be a review. But at least 20 other family members smelled decomposition or something not very pleasant. I couldn't hear the final prayer, it smelled so bad. We didn't have BIL's arrangements at Warren because of the bugs during my MIL's services. If Warren can sort out the cleanliness issue they would get 5 stars from me. I won't hold a funeral or memorial there but I will definitely let Warren prepare the body or do a cremation. Over 3 years ago we buried my nephew and FIL, and Warren was very clean. Are they under new management??”

“I am sorry for everyone and their bad experiences as read below. However, I had NOTHING but the most amazing experience here 01/2024. Perhaps there were different staff? Olivia is the new Funeral Director. Olivia V WAS AN ABSOLUTE rockstar with my family. My mom passed away VERY UNEXPECTEDLY and Olivia was the kindest person during this whole process. We were all lost and she guided us through everything even coordinating with my mom's church to have her funeral service there. Olivia made my mom's wake so welcoming and calm. She was THE BEST PERSON we could have ever asked to help navigate us through all of this. Thank you for helping us set up, coordinate and take all the stress off of our family. Thank you Zoe for making our mom look just like she always did! You were phenomenal with her makeup and hair. We appreciate this so much! To anyone reading this: please know funeral prices are VERY HIGH. It does not matter what funeral home you use - its expensive. This is why life insurance and making arrangements for the future is so important. PLEASE START SAVING so that when its a family member's time to go - its a PEACEFUL PROCESS for everyone. I do love the transparency of Warren Funeral as they do also provide price lists to the public.”
