You're not expected to know this. These questions help you compare and avoid surprises.
“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
This means they bill the insurance company directly. You don't pay thousands upfront and wait to be reimbursed.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
The FTC Funeral Rule protects you. Every funeral home must provide an itemized General Price List if you ask — in person or over the phone. You are never required to buy a package and can choose services individually. You also have the right to use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“Angel Funeral Home is a terrible place to take your loves ones. Brian didn't get anyone scheduled to do the Rosary, No greeters available, no Funeral director available to talk with when no one showed up to do the Rosary service. The receptionist spent the whole evening trying to schedule the service for the following morning & to facilitate at the cemetery site because they were not scheduled either. Failed to advertise the arbitrary. ..not even on their website, so many family & friends didn't know where he was taken. No church service scheduled, and the casket bouquet was never placed on the coffin. Receptionist said we would get refunded for those services but Brian avoids us & obviously will not refund us without legal representation. It was a terrible service, fortunately my son opened the service & said a prayer. Then my cousin's husband concluded the Service & blessed everyone, but by that time most everyone had already left It's not like we can redo it all, so beware!”

“Sometimes the situation surrounding the loss of a family member can become quite overwhelming for the surviving relatives. The clear, easy and concise way that Bryan DeLeon explained everything to us, while handling most of the critical details, helped alleviate much of the burden of arranging the memorial and cremation. His disposition and eagerness to cooperate contributed greatly to the success of our respectful and inspirational memorial service. Their facilities are very nice and they are a great value. I highly recommend Angel Funeral Home. There is no need to look elsewhere.”

“If you love your loved one DO NOT entrust them in Angel Funeral Home's care. They never made the initial call to our family to set up a time to meet for arrangements. We had to call them. As soon as they saw there was a pending on the insurance when verifying, Peter's whole demeanor changed. It was very obvious it was all about the money here. No Compassion, nothing professional about him or the director whom I called twice and he would not return the call. Instead Peter was the one that called me back after i specifically requested I talk to Bryan and did not want to deal with Peter anymore. Peter's call to my sister in law who lost her husband was so awful he said "since you are not happy and we are not happy, it's best you go ahead and move him to another funeral home" Too bad you have to give one star to be able to post.”
