You're not expected to know this. These questions help you compare and avoid surprises.
“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
This means they bill the insurance company directly. You don't pay thousands upfront and wait to be reimbursed.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
The FTC Funeral Rule protects you. Every funeral home must provide an itemized General Price List if you ask — in person or over the phone. You are never required to buy a package and can choose services individually. You also have the right to use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“They don’t take care of this cemetery. Look at the stones on the lower hill next to the mausoleum. Completely covered by grass. I Also, on the other side of the street the stones are also sinking. You can’t see anything and it’s awful and inhumane. Please take care of this cemetery and peoples loved ones”

“9/8/2025. Once again, upon another visit from Florida, our family footstones were covered by grass. It is apparent that the grounds are not being maintained on a regular basis only when a bad review or complaint is made. This is so sad. 10/3/2024. I am adjusting my review from 1 star to 4 stars. Below is my original review, however, after posting my review the management jumped right on the issue and cleared the footstones within 1 day of my original post. I have to say that is great customer service and admirable that they took my disappoinment personally and cared enough to rectify it immediately. Thank you, Beverly! 9/29/2024. Just visited my family's final resting place only to find the footstones were all covered up by grass and there is duck poop everywhere. I only had my bare hands to try to clear them off. So sad to come up from Florida and see my family's final resting place with no identification foot stones in sight. Not sure how to upload pictures but can send if you reach out.”

“They stripped my brothers burial rest spot without a LEGIT reason. On the phone a gentleman said it was after memorial day they do this grounds cleaning of flowers etc. NOPE we decorated this for his Birthday on June 4th 2024 whichnwas way afterwards and everything stayed on with NO issues UP until recently. My sister went to visit my brothers rest spot 2 weeks ago! everything was intact! There is no reason for this! The policy I read online here states nothing should be put around the stone., We placed everything right up close against it. Not to the far left or to the far right or to the middle of the plot grounds where it would be in the way of the grounds keeper and maintenence people that need to mole the lawn. See below. All but two tiny items were left . A small solar butterfly lattern a inspirational black n white sign that gets stuck in the ground with a stake. My mom's handmade cross gone and my Heart made of stone with a photo built into it of my brother and I gone too doesn't show here in the p picture , it was hidden with the Yankee flag, that is how small and insignificant to take it out from close to the ground and just throw out! So I as able to talk with Manager personally he said it's because banners are not allowed period. Nor any type of sports team surveniors or memobilia that can be offensive to others. It's strict because they don't want people to get out of hand. It can get too much. Unfortunately even the spray I placed on top of the head stone of artificial beautiful flowers also removed just because they figured they would get worned down and start falling off! Ridiculous it really is. I paid over $40 for that beautiful sturdy lovely arrangement that thank you have a good day not going to wear and tear for a long time., nor fall off it, has handles that grasp onto the top of headstone. I thought it Is what it is. I was able to ask if they can check for we come to the items taken off and call me to pick the up.Thank God! All were there except Yankee banner and the flowers”
