How Long Should It Take
A straight answer, so you know whether your claim is on track or genuinely stuck.
Once the carrier has a complete claim — a certified death certificate, the completed claim forms, and proof you're the beneficiary — most life insurance claims are paid within about 14 to 60 days. Many are paid within 30. Some states require the insurer to pay interest if they take too long.
A missing or uncertified death certificate, a claim form that isn't fully completed, a beneficiary the carrier still needs to verify, a policy that was in its first two years (the contestability period), or a cause of death the insurer wants to review. These are routine — and usually fixable.
If it's been well past 30 to 60 days, you've sent everything they asked for, and the carrier has gone quiet or keeps asking for the same thing again, the claim isn't just slow — it's stuck. That's when an authorized representative pushing on your behalf tends to move it.
Timelines vary by carrier, state, and the specifics of the policy. This is general information, not legal advice or a guarantee of any outcome.
How We Unstick It
Three steps. We carry the weight of the follow-up for you.
Tell us where your claim is stuck and upload any letter or message the carrier sent you. We review exactly where it stalled — and what's holding up the payout.
We step in as your authorized representative and pressure the carrier — the calls, letters, and persistent follow-up — so the claim stops sitting on someone's desk.
We keep the pressure on until the carrier gives a clear answer and releases the benefit. You don't chase anyone — we do.
Transparent Pricing

MedaSynq is a claims-assistance service — not a law firm and not a public insurance adjuster. We take over the filing and press the carrier for a decision; if your delay turns into a legal dispute (rescission, ERISA litigation, bad faith), we refer you to a licensed attorney.
We do not provide legal advice or determine your entitlement to benefits. Whether — and when — a claim is paid, and the final amount, is decided solely by the insurance carrier.
Get your claim moving in minutes. There is no cost to begin and no fee unless it results in a payout.
