“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
This means they bill the insurance company directly. You don't pay thousands upfront and wait to be reimbursed.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
The FTC Funeral Rule protects you. Every funeral home must provide an itemized General Price List if you ask — in person or over the phone. You are never required to buy a package and can choose services individually. You also have the right to use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“I'm so disgusted with the way Lindquist takes ca re of this cemetary. It's so sad that at some of the graves you can't even see the markers because they are covered in weeds. There are so many goatheads, morning glory, purslane, spurge, etc. I have to check my shoes every time I go to make sure I don't have a bunch of stickers on my shoes. I've talked to many people at lindquist and they all assure me that it will be taken care of. It's been 3-1/2 years since my mom passed and they have done nothing to fix it. I'm not the only one that is disgusted. I know a lot of people who have loved ones there that see the neglect too.”

“This cemetery has turned into trash. They have no respect for the gravesites. My wife was buried there a year and a half ago. Dead weedy grass all around her in spring and summer. Mid and piles of dead grass piled on her head stone in winter. Tractor tire tracks and mud run over headstones. Emailed our funeral director complaining about it. Never received a response. The pictures on there website do not reflect reality. They should be a shamed of themselves for treating this place so poorly.”

“My brother was buried at Lindquist Memorial Gardens in January 2018. I visit there often and try to enjoy the quiet and serenity with him. On the anniversary of his death, January 18, 2019 my husband and I came to his grave site to pay respects and were absolutely appalled at the state of his grave site and surrounding area. A burial service inside the wall by the flag pole had taken place this same day. The canopy and casket were still there but all the people were gone. In preparing for this graveside service, plows, trucks, and snow removal equipment had been used and left surrounding grave sites covered with mounds of dirt, snow, grass, and mud! My brother's grave is probably 20-25 feet forward from the walled in area and should never have been an issue. There was no reason they needed to go that far when access to the new grave from the street was already handled. The flowers (in approved container) and mementoes we had left for my brother were pulled off his grave and thrown in a pile about 20 feet to the right of his grave. His gravestone was covered with mud and grass and tire marks showing no respect for the final resting place of our loved one! A grave site a few feet forward of his was even worse with a 2 foot pile of mud, grass, and snow covering the stone. I was heartbroken that such heartless actions by your crews should result in the desecration of grave sites. These are people's loved ones here. The lack of respect for that makes me very sad.”
